well, the time has come to say goodbye until the next OK adventures. i’m sure you’ll miss us. but until then… here’s why YOU should NOT travel with kat.

after telling g a story about how i had kicked off my covers in the middle of night, waking up so cold i was tempted to crawl into bed with kat to warm myself

g: yeah, sureee. that’s a pathetic excuse
o: what are you talking about!
g: i know what these yearly trips are - your lesbian trips!
o: hahahahaha
g: there was london and now san fran… your lbt2
o: what?
g: lesbo trip 2!!!

“Is this plane BYOB?” — Olivia, who just purchased 3 bottles of wine in the terminal

In her defense… I have four wine glasses stashed away in my backpack. :D

SFO Terminal 2!!!

Checking in from the awesome new terminal on free WiFi, just because I can.

1) We’re early for our flight
2) I have two new books for the trip!
3) This Caesar salad from the organic restaurant is legitimately delicious (for once, I love you, crunchy cities!)
4) I also have a full bottle of spring water filled up from a nice little fountain in the middle of the terminal.

Virgin America is officially my favorite domestic airline. Too bad they don’t have more destinations from Texas yet.

Olivia’s off acquiring Pinkberry. Figures. “My first thought this morning when I woke up was ‘I can get Pinkberry in the airport!!!’” — Olivia

a short summary b/c i’ll get bored writing halfway through

as kat dramatically posted earlier with her artsy fartsy post - i left her at the ferry plaza farmer’s market to eat breakfast/lunch/brunch with my aunt. on my walk to chinatown, i reveled in the fact i was walking around in the beautiful city of san francisco and knew that one day, i will live in a city where i could walk everywhere.

seeing my aunt was awesome. know that i’ve never really had the chance to truly have a “grown up” conversation with her since the last time we were alone together was… when i was six years old. she had super cute stories about her and her husband that she’s known, dated and been married to for 31 years. it warmed my heart to hear the stories, and to know that she was truly happy.

met kat up near union square where she was diligently shopping. walked around a bit more, went to eat the famed salt & pepper crab at r&g lounge and then went back to the hotel to rest our tired feet. kat took a nap but promptly woke up to get free wine from our hotel lobby. figures.

we made a silly video for stephanie, something we typically do on our trips together, got dressed up for dinner, and walked to acquerello. i forget how googly men could be (ew).

dinner was great. i had my first experience of having an intelligent (on my side anyways) conversation with the sommelier on ordering a white wine that will suit our taste. he did not lead us in the wrong direction - loved the wine - a peay hirsch chardonnay. drank it all. ate it all. delicious.

now we blog. and lay in our beds side by side. because this is what we do together, even on vacation.
